WRESTLING CAMP
Olympia’s personalized Wrestling development program is Canada’s first resident summer wrestling camp with over 35 years of experience running fun and challenging wrestling programs.
There is a one-week-long session combining both the boys’ and girl’s programs while maintaining a ratio of 1 coach for every 6 participants. This experience will develop you as a wrestler and as an individual and will leave you feeling part of a “Community of Everyday Heroes.”
This camp is for all levels of wrestlers, from novice to national medalist. One group of wrestlers will be introduced to basic concepts and the advanced participants will learn techniques and tactics used by world champions. Technique is the key to wrestling. Moves are taught and learned using different methods of drilling. Each session includes warm-up games, stretching, techniques, situation drills, scrimmaging, cool-downs, videos, and more.
The areas of mental preparation, dieting, strategy, and weightlifting are also covered along with two mat sessions plus one conditioning session every day. Special guest clinicians and Twist Sport Conditioning Coherence and Resilience Building Training are also part of the wrestling camp for future champs. Excellence awards are given at the Closing Ceremony.
