Track and field is a sport comprising various competitive athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing.

Olympia will Cover the Basics of Track & Field Camp: Sprints (100m, sprint drills, strength development, starting blocks), middle distance (400/800m), jumps (high jump & long jump), relays (team building and baton exchanges), Throws (shotput).

This camp targets the multi-discipline athlete, working on all events to realize improvements across the board. Athletes will participate in a mini-pentathlon at the end of the week.

At Olympia campers can expect to:

  • Access their full speed and jumping potential
  • Run basic race modules
  • Improve in speed acceleration and velocity for sprinting hurdles and jumping
  • Learn proper warm up techniques
  • Event specific Strengthening and Training programs
  • Improve their flexibility
  • Learn plyometric workouts
