The stoke of SUP

There is something intensely exhilarating about gliding on the water in a standing position, with it comes a feeling of elation and freedom which is both empowering, and addictive. Surfers have coined this feeling “Stoke”. Stand Up Paddleboarding opens many possibilities from peaceful morning flatwater paddles to navigating extreme white water rapids to SUP surfing a great lake or ocean. It promotes endless exploration opportunities globally and in your own back yard. Here in Muskoka, we are blessed with some of the most stunning, spectacular flat water paddling in Canada and we are stoked to share it with you.

All about balance

Stand Up Paddling is a must try for all ages as it offers a fun mode of transportation, a social atmosphere, a full body workout and a getaway for the mind. This combination of strength and relaxation make SUP a balanced sport where you can truly test your balance on a board.

Confidence – Comfort – Leadership

Individual and team-based games and exercises will help to build confidence, support comfort and encourage leadership. Basic and advanced paddle skill training, safety, paddle fitness, touring & even SUP Yoga will be explored. Special instruction on SUP racing, race training and race rules and regulations will help to test paddlers’ skills and offer a fun and competitive environment. There will be both an individual and team focus throughout the week. A Basic & Advanced Paddle Canada Certification will be awarded following skill evaluation and assessment. Video analysis and awards will be will be offered.
