Guitar Camp
Using a hands-on approach, and various styles including rock, pop, blues, folk, country, and jazz, the following topics will be covered over the week:

- Introduction to the guitar - history of the guitar, types of guitars, parts of the guitar, tuning
- The strings and the frets - finding notes on the guitar
- Introduction to theory and reading music in order to play simple melodies
- Playing chords and chord progressions
- Strumming and picking patterns
- Playing in ensembles (with other musicians)
- Introduction to improvisation
- "Inner Blance" training program
Campers must bring their own guitar to camp:
- An acoustic guitar (either steel string or nylon) OR
- An electric guitar (with a small amp) OR
- A bass guitar with a small amp (amps will not be provided)
