All-Sports/Adventure Camp

A unique blend of a Sports Readiness Camp and Adventure Experiences in a fun-filled, safe environment

This introductory Sports and Adventure Experience provides over 30 hours to sample a wide variety of traditional team sports and adventure activities. The All-Sports/Adventure Camp is founded on the principle that sport and adventure participation are important features in the life of a developing boy or girl.

All-Sports

The goal of this portion of the camp is to offer each camper the opportunity to gain a fundamental understanding of a wide range of sports and activities. With the emphasis on fun, the program is designed to enhance each camper's self-image through the improvement of individual skills and total-body co-ordination while learning the values of team play, sportsmanship and friendly competition.

Sports played include:

  • Softball
  • Soccer
  • Baseball
  • Ball Hockey
  • Basketball
  • Touch Football
  • Volleyball
  • Touch Rugby

Adventure

The adventure component of the camp embraces the philosophy of CHALLENGE by CHOICE (Voluntary participation) in an atmosphere of support and caring. A well-trained staff and careful programming of co-operative games, trust activities, initiatives and challenge ropes course events presented in prescribed sequence in a totally safe environment, takes each camper beyond his/her own expectations while enhancing their self-concept. This program offers campers a way to learn co-operation, teamwork, trust and friendship.
